Playing sports doesn't always mean sweating

There are other factors that determine sweating, not just physical exertion. Sports that generally don't cause sweating

sports without sweating
Many people sweat a little after a sporting activity, a workout, or even a run. And they think: we've wasted time. This isn't true, because playing sports doesn't always mean sweating, and Sweating is not the only sign of having done physical activity, but depends on other factors that influence it.
That is, aside from physical fitness, age, gender and body size:
  • – Exercise intensity. Light activities such as yoga, tai chi or a walk Slow paced workouts may not cause significant sweating, while high-intensity exercises like running, cycling, or HIIT workouts make you sweat more.
  • – Temperature and humidityIn cool or low-humidity environments, you can do an intense workout without sweating much. Conversely, even moderate activity in hot environments can make you sweat a lot.
  • Personal characteristics Some people sweat more than others due to genetics, hydration levels, or exercise habits.
  • Type of sport. Sports like ARTISTIC Water aerobics can make your muscles work a lot without you feeling sweaty, because the water removes it immediately.

Confirmation of these limitations comes from a series of physical activities and sports that, although they involve significant effort, do not lead to particular sweating.

  1. Yoga and Pilates They train strength, flexibility and posture without causing excessive sweating, unless they are “hot” or particularly intense versions.
  2. Tai Chi and Qi GongSlow, controlled movements are excellent for balance, concentration, and joint mobility.
  3. Slow walking or walking on flat ground . Improves cardiovascular endurance without making you sweat a lot, especially in cool environments.
  4. golf Moderate exercise while walking between potholes; sweating depends more on the weather than on activity.
  5. Light swimming or water aerobics Water keeps your body cool, so even if your muscles are working, you don't notice any sweat.
  6. Cycling at a leisurely pace . Cycling slowly on flat terrain may not make you sweat much.
  7. Stretching and joint mobility They promote flexibility and injury prevention, without causing sweat.

A scientific study A 2020 study shows that sweating during exercise is not proportional to the effort you make. The only thing that's certain is that sweating signals dehydration, and therefore, if you sweat a lot during a workout, it's absolutely essential to drink plenty of fluids.
