2023 Non-Waste Award: All the Winners

DO NOT WASTE AWARD 2023 EDITION 

Il Don't Waste Award 2023, XIV edition, dedicated to the food waste, saw the participation of over one hundred projects, resulting in the following winners. The Award, in partnership with Luiss University, was also an opportunity to relaunch our website campaign. Get ahead of the game against food waste. That is, for any event that includes a lunch or dinner (from Christmas and Easter parties to weddings, from baptisms to birthdays, from corporate buffets to first communions), you need to organize in advance to recover any leftover food. And donate it to organizations like the Food Bank, which know well how to who to assign it to.

A Candle, a small municipality in the province of Foggia, has successfully piloted a 3R (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce) project. This initiative, with a bonus of up to €150 on groceries, encourages residents to adopt consumption patterns and lifestyles that reduce waste disposal. This provides significant financial benefits for the municipality.

The students of the Sensale high school of Nocera Inferiore With the help of the school's teachers, they managed to launch a project to recover otherwise wasted ash from local pizzerias and transform it into a natural detergent. The idea is: less waste and more self-production.

VAIA: THREE YOUNG PEOPLE RECOVER WOOD FROM FELL-DOWN TREES AND PLANT MORE

In 2018 a terrible storm, called Vaia, destroyed 14 million trees in the Northeast. A startup and a reforestation project of the same name have been launched in the area, which involves recovering and transforming the lost trees into useful design objects.
