CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM RECIPE
Simple to prepare, fresh and tasty, the gelato It's a must-have dessert during the warmer months and a great snack for kids. Making it at home is easy: just a few ingredients and an ice cream maker are all you need to make delicious homemade ice cream in no time.
Ingredients
(for about 500g of ice cream)
- 250 ml of milk
- 75 ml cream
- 80 grams of sugar
- 25 g of cocoa powder
- Eggs (yolks) 60 g (about 3 yolks)
Preparation
- Pour the sugar into a bowl, add the egg yolks and then mix everything together with an electric mixer.
- Combine the milk and the cream In a saucepan, heat the mixture and then add the egg yolks and sugar: mix with a whisk until the ingredients are well combined.
- Pour everything into a saucepan and cook, stirring, until it reaches a temperature of 85°C (you will need a kitchen thermometer to monitor it), without bringing to the boil so as to avoid the yolks forming lumps.
- Once the right temperature is reached, turn off the heat and add the cocoa into powder while continuing to mix well.
- Let it cool and then refrigerate for at least two hours. After this time, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and chill, following the instructions for proper use.
- All you have to do is place the ice cream in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours.

Se you don't have an ice cream maker, proceed as follows:
- After leaving the ice cream to cool in the refrigerator, place it in the freezer and after 40-45 minutes, mix and then place everything back in the freezer.
- Repeat the operation at least 4-5 times.
