How to make ginger sorbet
Il ginger sorbet It can be easily prepared at home, with a touch of lemon, following the instructions in the book The modern vegetarian by Maria Elia.
Ingredients
- 225 grams of sugar
- 440 ml of water
- The juice and zest of two lemons
- 4 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
Preparation
- Heat together thewater and sugar for about 5 minutes, add the lemon juice and zest and ginger and then pour everything into a container.
- Let it cool and then place the mixture in the freezer for about 3 hours. Hourly but remember to mix all with a fork.
- Continue in this way until you obtain the desired consistency.
- Accompany the sorbet with ginger and a slice of melon and decorated with fresh basil leaves.
