Despite the low temperatures, February is a very important month for the garden, both with regards to sowing and fertilizing activities and to the arrangement of the PlotSo let's start preparing for spring now by doing the work we need to do in the vegetable garden, potted plants, or in the garden to ensure a satisfying and productive harvest.
Growing your own vegetable garden, even in a small space, offers many advantages, both in terms of savings and well-being. Not only will we eat healthy, locally sourced, and seasonal food, but we'll also have all the health benefits ofhorticultural therapy which will give us a feeling of psychophysical well-being. The climate
As already mentioned, the most important variable, obviously, is the climate. Garden care in February
- Start digging to bring the parasites to the surface: the low temperature will eliminate them
- Soil and plants need phosphorus and potassium. Use natural compost.
- Fruit, vegetable, and dried flower scraps are particularly useful, as are crushed eggshells and coffee grounds.
- Protect plants where they are too exposed to the risks of the weather
