The string should always be twice the length of the short side of the bag. Sew the top, allowing the strings to slide through the loop. Repeat with the strings on the other side of the bag. Finally, tie a small knot at the ends of the string on both sides of the bag and use hot glue to secure the ends of the strings where the knots are, to prevent them from fraying over time. At this point, the bag is ready, but you can decorate it with fabric paints or by sewing on ornaments made of various materials.
