POLIGNANO A MARE COFFEE FOR 0,70 CENTS
Not all bars rip off customers. Not all bars charge, as they do in Sardinia, 30 euros for a coffee and a croissant. In Polignano a Mare, one of Puglia's most popular seaside resorts during the summer months, for example, a coffee still costs 0,70 cents. We're at Caffè degli Artisti, where the story we told in a small bar in the province of Biella is repeated . The difference is that Polignano has thousands of vacationers, and at Caffè degli Artisti they make around 300 cups a day. But the moral of both stories is the same: when you want, you can avoid strangling customers and profiting from rising costs due to inflation. By giving up a little extra profit, and perhaps by making it with a product other than coffee. Even a bar's profits can be spread around, thus avoiding fleecing its patrons.
