After bread, the most wasted thing in restaurants iswaterEntire bottles opened and barely touched: all stuff that ends up in the garbage. This is what the chef says. Ciro Di Maio, in Brescia, for his restaurant He had a great idea. Leftover water isn't wasted. It's conserved and sent to a city shelter, where abandoned dogs awaiting adoption are collected. A lot of water: about 150 liters per month.

The project was made possible thanks to the association which put the chef from Brescia in contact with the shelter kennel, managed directly by the association. Imagine what could be done, and how many shelters could receive water for their abandoned animals, if other restaurants, not just in Brescia, followed Ciro Di Maio's example.
