How to Make Tiramisu Without Eggs and Mascarpone
Do you want to prepare the Tiramisu Following an original recipe? Perfect for breakfast or a delicious summer snack, tiramisu is also an ideal dessert for a tasty break during these warm late spring days when, in many parts of Italy, temperatures are still pleasant. It's a delicacy that doesn't require cooking and is best enjoyed chilled. To make it lighter, we tried a special version: without eggs and without mascarpone. Let's see the recipe together:
Ingredients
- A packet of biscuits (such as ladyfingers)
- 500g ricotta (sheep's milk ricotta is leaner, but cow's milk ricotta is also fine)
- 500 ml of whipping cream (preferably vegetable)
- 100 grams of powdered sugar
- Coffee (as much as needed)
- Cocoa (as needed)
Preparation
- Prepare a six-cup brew and let cool.
- Place the coffee in a bowl and dip the biscuits in it, placing them on a baking dish.
- Whip the cream until stiff, taking care to place it in the freezer for 15 minutes: it must be very cold.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl ricotta cheese and the icing sugar and mix with a fork until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream and then arrange it on the biscuits.
- Sprinkle with bitter cocoa and repeat the layers with the biscuits.
- Refrigerate for about 2 hours and serve with a dusting of bitter cocoa.
