Homemade Bavarian Coffee Cream

Don't skip a touch of cream. It's ready in half an hour, but it needs to chill for three hours.

Bavarian Coffee Recipe

A special dessert for coffee lovers, but also a unique end-of-dinner dessert. Here's the recipe for coffee bavarois, measured for four people.

Ingredients

  • 1 dl of espresso coffee
  • 1,5 dl of milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of agar agar powder
  • 2 dl of fresh cream
  • 4 coffee beans

Preparation

  • Gather In a saucepan, combine 1 dl of milk and the coffee and heat them over low heat. Then, shell the eggs, separating the yolks from the whites and beat the former with the sugar until they become light and frothy.
  • Incorporate First, add 0,5 dl of cold milk, then the hot milk mixed with the coffee. Stir constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps from forming. Return to low heat and let the mixture thicken for about ten minutes, being careful not to let the cream boil; it's ready when it coats a spoon. Remove from the heat and stir in the agar agar.
  • Whip until stiff the cream and the egg whites and incorporate them separately from the mixture, keeping aside 4 tablespoons of cream, with delicate rotary movements from bottom to top.
  • Divide the preparation in 4 individual molds and transferred to the refrigerator for 3 minutes before serving, decorating the surface of each portion with 1 tablespoon of cream Whipped cream and 1 coffee bean. This recipe takes no more than 30 minutes to prepare, plus 3 hours for the final product to cool.
