"The Academy of Silence" is a site created thanks to a group of professors and students from the province of Arezzo, whose aim is to describe the language of silence: how much silence helps to communicate, how important silence is for get to know not only others but also ourselves betterThe Academy of Silence, led by Professors Duccio Demetrio and Nicoletta Polla-Mattiot, organizes a school throughout the year, seminars, and courses. Its website also features a map of the Places of Silence. It is updated based on reader feedback.

TURBULENT

This site used to be called Le strade zitte. The name has changed, but the mission is Turbulent – this is the new name – has remained the same as the one used when the platform was founded: to allow the search and selection of 173 routes to be done by bike or on foot, to discover the silence.
