The water-based slimming diet

This is false if you're thinking about a weight-loss diet, but it's true because drinking plenty of water reduces appetite. It also leads to fewer sugary drinks.

Lose weight by drinking water: the diet
Drink water for lose weight, as if it were a particular diet, has no scientific basis. But that doesn't mean water can't significantly contribute to weight loss.
Drinking water does lose weight for some indirect effects of its abundant consumption, especially in summer. Water, for example, reduces appetite, and at the same time lowers the desire for sugary drinks, which are among the main culprits of weight gain. On the other hand, drinking a necessary amount of water (the famous two liters (or even eight glasses a day) activates thermogenesis, or the production of energy in the form of heat. And this leads to a slight increase in energy expenditure.

Drinking plenty of water, without overdoing it or obsessing, is almost a must to protect our body and metabolism. During the summer, water and frequent drinking are even more necessary, as they boost metabolism and help us eliminate excess salts.

Lose weight with water, then. Without wasting money, time, and effort on expensive and convoluted diets . But by focusing entirely on the quality of your drinking, even if not excessively, starting with just eight glasses a day . Nutritionist Nicola Sorrentino, in his latest book , The Water Diet , cites an American study by the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech on 50 people on a weight-loss program : half of those who drank just two glasses before sitting down to eat had lost over two kilos more than the others.

But where does the miracle of water as a weight-loss aid come from? It comes from four factors. First, the sensation of "having a full stomach" after a good drink, and therefore the reduction of food cravings . Second, the fact that water replaces other beverages , often high in sugar, fat, and low-calorie. Furthermore, water increases activity and slows down the metabolism. Finally, according to Sorrentino, it is water that triggers thermogenesis, the body's production of heat that promotes weight loss.
