On eBay, you can buy a piece of volcanic lava from Etna with a bucket described as "vintage" (?). Price: 65 euros, including shipping. Almost a game, quite expensive, but Riccardo La Rosa , 43, is very serious. Using waste lava from the Sicilian volcano, he has patented a thermos bottle, a typical product of circular economy innovation.
THERMIC BOTTLE MADE FROM LAVA WASTE
La Rosa has filed a patent for its material, called Petrafeel , made from 85 percent lava waste . The first pieces were purchased by the Emir of Abu Dhabi, and thus the eco-friendly bottles entered the catalog of products made in the La Rosa laboratory.

LAND OF ART
Terra d'Arte is the brand of high-quality artisan products made by La Rosa, which also has a storefront in Paris, a showroom in Catania, and, most importantly, a website where you can request a quote for each photographed item. The products are made of Sicilian terracotta, hand-decorated ceramic, and, of course, Etna lava stone.
