“Leonardo, were the inventions really yours, did you want them, or were they just the result of constant procrastination?” “Dr. Freud, if you opened Instagram today, would you analyze your followers or your haters more? Questions for imaginary interviews like these, one with Leonardo da Vinci and the other with Sigmund Freud, are a regular feature of Radio Shock, which is not a commercial radio station like the ones we listen to in the car or on FM, nor is it an editorial office where all the “journalists” are radio professionals. But it is a therapeutic and rehabilitation project promoted by Department of Mental Health and Pathological Addictions of the Piacenza Local Health Authority who uses the radio as a tool for social inclusion, empowerment and combating stigma towards people with mental disorders

Psychologists, educators and professionals from the Department of Mental Health work with editors suffering from mental disorders, coordinated by Piero Verani, to facilitate content production. And the results are extraordinary: the editorial staff continually invents new formats, and prepares a series of imaginary interviews every day, with stories that don't just concern the world of mental health problems. In this way, Radio Shock's success has expanded from good therapeutic results to a highly original, ironic, and engaging medium. critical sense, to provide good information.
