Just a while ago, we told you the story of Sara Poiese , a young woman from Vicenza who, at a certain point, decided to leave her job to follow the path that had always fascinated her: fashion . Sara opened her own tailoring shop where she makes clothes and accessories. And it's not just Sara: more and more young people are deciding to build their future by reviving ancient crafts , those artisanal skills that are currently in serious crisis in our country, like Simone Maggi, 33, from Biella, a computer engineering graduate and a digital tailor by profession.

LANIERI TAILORING –

The web and technology, often accused of causing the extinction of artisanal crafts, have in this case proven to be an important tool in overcoming the crisis of the Biella spinning mills and giving life to “Lanieri” , an online men's tailoring shop where anyone, in just a few clicks, can purchase a tailored suit.

HOW LANIERI WORKS –

Simone's idea has restored prestige to the long history of Biella wool: customers submit the measurements needed to make a suit, trousers, or shirt directly through the portal , choose their preferred fabric, customize the collar, cuffs, buttons , and pocket depending on the garment, and then proceed with the order. And to ensure they don't get the measurements wrong, those who can't make it to one of the ateliers in Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, or Zurich can find a video tutorial on the portal, which explains, step by step, how to determine the 18 measurements needed to create their chosen garment. Those who would like fabric samples delivered to their home can request them for just 10 euros, a fee that is then deducted from the total price if purchased. Shirts range in price from 80 to 130 euros, and suits from 590 to 1000 euros: a price that reflects the high quality of the fabrics and the tailoring . Delivery is completely free throughout Italy. Many customers also order their custom-made suits from abroad, and they receive them at home within five weeks.
