Wash Out is an app that combines several waste reductions. It allows you to dry-clean your car , thus avoiding water consumption (and waste). It also allows you to wash your car at home, thus saving time. There is no waste or harmful fumes, and therefore no environmental damage.
How does Wash Out work? You sign up and request a home wash. A representative arrives, using only eco-friendly products for the dry cleaning, without external water, and with a microfiber cloth to capture and remove dirt. At the end of the wash, you pay directly through the app, and at least 160 liters of water have been saved for each car.
The Wash Out service is currently active in six Italian cities (Rome, Milan, Bologna, Monza, Turin, and Florence) and in Paris, while what was once a startup founded in Milan, within the incubator of the Milan Polytechnic, has been acquired 70 percent by the Telepass group. This has made the fortune of its three founders, Andrea Galassi, Alessandro Morlin Visconti Castiglione, and Christian Padovan.
