Basilicata


In Basilicata, you can find several vintage-themed markets. Among them:

  • Second-hand and old-time market In Potenza. It takes place a few Sundays throughout the year in the historic center (between Piazza Mario Pagano and surrounding streets), and brings together stalls selling antiques, used books, comics, musical instruments, furniture, and collectibles.
  • Second-Hand Car Show – Lagopesole Fair (PZ). It is an event dedicated to vintage and barter inside the Lagopesole Fair. It didn't take place in 2025, and confirmation is awaited for 2026 (it should take place in October).
  • Second-hand and vintage market In Pescopagano (PZ). It takes place on the first Sunday of the month in the historic center. You can find vintage items, books, furniture, and curiosities.

Calabria

Research in Calabria is oriented towards antique textiles, embroidery, and solid wood furniture. But not only that:

  • Antiques and collectibles exhibition-market (Cosenza): Held regularly on the first and third Sunday of every month (usually suspended in July and August). You'll find approximately 50 exhibitors.
  • Antiques and second-hand market (Crotone). Every first Sunday of the month. It's a well-attended event (up to 80-100 exhibitors) where you can find antique books, coins, restored furniture, and curiosities from times gone by.
  • Soverato Antiques Market (Catanzaro). Every last Sunday of the month, a traditional event with around 60 exhibitors. During the summer (June-September), the market may change hours to evening (6:00 PM to midnight) to allow tourists and residents to stroll among the stalls and enjoy the cool breeze.
  • Flea market in Lamezia Terme. A large space dedicated to second-hand furniture, appliances, clothing, and other items.

Sicilia

In Sicily you can find monumental historic markets where Baroque influences can be found in antique furniture, ceramics, and vintage jewelry.

  • Piazza Marina Market (Palermo). It is probably the most famous antiques market on the island, it takes place in the historic center around the Garibaldi Garden orevery Sunday morning (from 07:00 to 13:00 approximately). Its strong point is also theatmosphere that makes it unique under the giant ficus trees.

Sardinian second-hand goods are characterized by rugs, baskets, and furniture with traditional carvings. Cagliari and Sassari host the most important markets.
