Necessary

  • A cardboard fruit crate
  • Scraps from another box
  • Some 12mm wooden sticks (palette hangers)
  • Some 3mm wooden sticks for the score balls
  • Water colours

  • Placemat scraps
  • Ping pong balls
  • Colored masking tape
  • Vinyl glue

Method

(1) To transform the fruit box in a football field, color the background red and the the walls of blue;

(2) Glue the wooden clothes pegs onto the 12,5x10cm cardboard rectangles as you see in the tutorial photo;

(3-4) Paint the paddles with the colors of your favorite team and glue on a strip of cardboard for the handle: white, red, and green. Also add a plastic cutout: you will need it to hit the ball harder;

(5) Colour the wooden balls already drilled, five for each part, they must be inserted into the toothpick as score markers;

(6) Prepare the 12 mm round sticks: two will pass through the box and four others, about 10 cm long, will hold the paddles;

(7) Keeping the pegs open, fix the piece of wood that blocks the paddle with a dab of glue;

(8) Using glue, fix the two sticks in the opposite holes of the box And there you have it, your DIY table football game. All you have to do is decorate it however you like and let the competition begin.
