Italy’s left-leaning “La Repubblica” newspapers with a blank front page are layed out in a kiosk in Milan on June 11, 2010. Just a post-it on the all-white front page is printed to protest against a bill curbing police wiretaps and setting hefty fines on media for publishing transcripts of them. Most opposition deputies boycotted the vote on the measure, which must also be passed by the lower house Chamber of Deputies and receive President Giorgio Napolitano’s signature before it becomes law.
