Annalisa Alessio, born in Corbetta, in the province of Milan, in 1979, is an eco-designer and brand designer, who trained in the field of textiles and sustainable fashion, graduating as a textile expert and then graduating in Clothing design with a thesis on ethical fashion and the use of recycled materials. Erika Mainini, born in Castano Primo, in the province of Milan, is a storyteller and web designer, who studied law and then specialized in communications-related disciplines. Together, the two young women created Communicate in Eco Studio-LAB, a creative laboratory based in the province of Milan, where they design and create sustainable objects with strong social and environmental content. The main project is the creation of “Zero impact bag”, multifunctional bags and backpacks handcrafted from recycled materials such as truck tarps, advertising banners, and other non-recyclable materials destined for disposal. All accessories such as zippers, buckles, hooks, and carabiners are sourced from select Italian companies.
