Nothing is easier or more useful, and also as a waste-reduction measure, than donating your clothes, which are still in good condition and usable. Someone will need them, and you'll make them happy. You'll also have avoided further textile waste (which already accounts for about 10 percent of harmful emissions), and you'll no longer be piling up unworn items in your closets. When it comes to donating clothes, you're spoiled for choice: from parishes to Caritas and the various offices of the Community of Sant'Egidio; from reception centers for immigrants and the homeless, to international organizations such as Save the Children, Emergency, and Doctors Without Borders (which organize dedicated collections). If the clothes are for children, please also contact Family counseling centers, Associations for mothers and families in difficulty, Nursery schools and kindergartens
