WAYEL SOLINGO PROJECT

Wayel was founded in 2007 by the Termal group with the aim of interpreting the phenomenon of the electric bike in an Italian way ; to meet this objective, it commissioned Rinnova scrl , a non-profit company in Forlì that develops innovative solutions for public and private clients, to produce a solar-powered electric moped , Solingo , thanks to a photovoltaic panel installed on the rear trunk.

To support the Forlì-based company, Wayel has created a specific start-up to produce Solingo: Five (Italian Electric Vehicle Factory), a young limited liability company specializing in green mobility within the Termal group.

SOLAR POWERED MOPED

At the end of 2010, studies and research began in conjunction with the University of Bologna, attempting to develop a moped capable of being powered by solar energy . The result was Solingo's invention on October 31, 2013: a pedal-assisted moped that reaches 35 km/h and has a maximum range of 115 km.

The undisputed advantages of this vehicle are minimal running costs, 50 cents per 100 km , less pollution of the external environment as there are no CO2 emissions _and consequently state and local incentives for vehicles with low overall emissions, and finally the possibility of accessing limited traffic zones.

Since 2015, it has been officially launched on the market and can be purchased in all points of the Wayel electric mobility specialist chain and from authorized retailers.
