Wholemeal donut without butter

It's made with soy yogurt and plant-based milk, and uses raisins instead of chocolate chips.

How to prepare wholemeal donut

If you're a sucker for a bundt cake and want to avoid the risk of gaining weight, you can use this light recipe that omits the butter. And instead of chocolate chips, use raisins.

Ingredients

  • 175 g of wholemeal spelt flour
  • 75 g of whole raw cane sugar
  • 50 g of starch
  • 2 g of bicarbonate
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 jar of soy yogurt
  • 1 glass of vegetable milk (sprouted rice, or other)
  • 40g extra dark chocolate (min 80% cocoa) in drops or small pieces
  • 1 pinch of turmeric
  • 2 g vanilla powder
  • 3 tablespoons of boiling water

Preparation

  • Whisk together the soy yogurt and the turmericAdd the boiling water, and finally the plant-based milk.
  • Gradually add the sugar, vanilla, starch, and yeast to the flour and mix until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour the mixture into a 20 cm diameter cake tin, and finally add the floured chocolate chips on top to garnish: bake in a preheated (static) oven at 180° for 35/40 minutes.
