  • A nylon cord (such as Paracord) or leather and some cotton thread
  • 4 drops of tea tree oil
  • 3 drops of mint peppermint
  • 4 drops of lemongrass
  • 3-4 tablespoons carrier oil (almond or olive oil)

Method

  • Pour all the essential oils and the carrier oil into a spray bottle or glass dropper and mix well.
  • Cut your chosen material to the same circumference as your wrist (or even longer, if you intend to make more rounds).
  • Saturate the bracelet with mosquito repellent solution.
  • Once the bracelet has been completely immersed in the mixture, let it dry in a well-ventilated area so that the oil can penetrate the material well.

Once you've done this, all you have to do is wear it.

If you prefer to make the mosquito repellent bracelet in fabric, you can cut out strips of fabric and braid them together. Or use an old cotton T-shirt and cut it into strips. Get:

Necessary material

  • A strip of fabric about 20–25 cm long and 2–3 cm wide
  • Needle and thread or fabric glue (to finish the edges)
  • Snap button or Velcro for closure
  • Repellent essential oils (citronella, lemon eucalyptus, geranium)

Method

  • Cut the fabric to fit your wrist (allow 1–2 cm extra for the closure). For a more refined look, you can finish the edges and sew them to prevent fraying.
  • Apply the closure, which can be a snap button or a piece of Velcro (or, more simply) a simple knot with the ribbon.
  • In a small bowl, mix 10 drops of citronella essential oil, 5 drops of geranium oil, 5 drops of lemon eucalyptus oil.
  • Dip the strip of fabric in the mixture and let it air dry completely for at least 1 hour.

Remember to renew the application of the oil every 2-3 days to maintain effectiveness against mosquitoes.
