DIY DRUM
Your kids love to play the drum Would you like to try making one at home? It's easier than it seems. All it takes is a pinch of imagination and creativity to transform many of the objects we have at home that we no longer use into a curious DIY drum. An excellent opportunity to also explain to children the importance of recycling some materials that are still useful.

DIY DRUM FOR CHILDREN
Here's a collection of ideas, each more curious than the last:
- First of all, to make a respectable drum, you can use a detergent container for the washing machine (they're still available in supermarkets). Cut off the bottom section to a height of about 10 cm and then remove the handle, keeping the studs that hold it to the drum itself. Next, take a sheet of red self-adhesive paper and cut a rectangle that matches the outside surface of the drum. On this rectangle, draw six vertical lines at regular intervals that branch off toward the top. Draw strips of yellow ribbon along the glued lines, completing the whole thing with a strip on both the bottom and top edges of the drum. Get some ribbon or string and tie it to the studs so your children can wear the drum around their necks. Two wooden sticks, about 40 cm long, colored according to your preference, will serve as drumsticks.
- Even with one plastic bottle A very nice drum is made for the little ones. The idea is to Ilene, author of the blog “I think, I invent, I create”, who made it for her daughter. Take a 5-liter bottle and cut off the top. Then, get an aluminum tray and place it on the top of the cut bottle trunk. Then, tie the drum with a cloth ribbon so it fits comfortably around the neck. For the drumsticks, take some wooden kitchen skewers and shape small balls out of aluminum foil, which you will then secure onto sticks using tape.

- Get yourself a cylindrical container, of those of the coffee Or some peeled tomatoes, some balloons, rubber bands, and duct tape. Place the balloon on the top of the jar, fitting it snugly. Then take another balloon, lay it flat on a hard surface, making sure it stays soft, and poke a few small holes in it with scissors. Then, place this perforated balloon on the top of the jar, practically on top of the first balloon. Use duct tape to secure the balloons tightly around the jar, using rubber bands as well. Fill the container with legumes or rice if you want to make it heavier. Make the sticks by twisting sheets of tissue paper around the ends of two pencils, securing them to the pencils with duct tape.
