SOLIDARITY HOSPITALITY FOR WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED

The idea was born in this perspective, when, in 2006, the social cooperative of educators and psychologists “Comunità Progetto” thought of a model of retraining of the Milanese neighborhood of Baggio, not only wanting to respond to the housing emergency but also to provide a real alternative model of life in the city and in the neighborhood. They call it a "project of social cohesionSince then, they have been networking with the DAR Casa community, and with the full support of the municipality of Milan and the partnership with Arci Milano (always attentive to solidarity) the successful initiative continues, which also has a connotation of recovery of vacant properties.

The 24 apartments on Via Demonte that are the subject of the call, in fact, are former ALER apartments below the threshold, that is, with a surface area below the requirements for inclusion in the public housing rankings.

For now, the Solidarity Hospitality assignments are located in the areas of Via del Turchino and Ca' Granda, and among the territorial projects activated, assistance for lonely elderly people, service afterschool for children and teenagers, film club e food counter, in which the fight is fought waste of unsold food from the local market.
