The future says electric cars. By 2030, they will almost completely replace diesel cars.

Consulting firm AlixPartners is convinced of this, predicting that within 14 years, battery-powered cars will account for two-thirds of sales, while diesel vehicles will decline to just nine percent. Among the reasons are the rising production costs of combustion-engine vehicles and the development of new technologies.
