HOW TO SAVE WITH COUPONS –

They're all the rage, almost a mass phenomenon as everyone tries to save money on groceries. All the more reason to be cautious and careful with coupons and group buying.

Beauty treatments, restaurants of all categories, extreme sports and language courses: everything has now become accessible with a click and a few dozen euros. But, to avoid scams and unnecessary expenses and expired coupons, there are a series of rules to put into practice.

  • Join all the active purchasing groups in your city.
  • Dedicate yourself to reading offers every day, a few minutes a day.

  • Organize with friends to get discounts, purchasing in turn. Create accounts of e-mail just to access the sites in question (among other things, it's also a useful trick to avoid having your personal mailbox clogged up with various offers).
  • Don't be fooled by the offer; buy only what you need or what truly pleases you. Learn to evaluate not only the price but also your actual needs related to the purchase.
  • Read all the details of the offer carefully before purchasing. Always consider everything that's not included in the price: you could end up paying €6 for a bottle of still water, on a dinner that cost you €8.
  • Check out the buying group's forums, blogs, and social media pages before purchasing an item.
  • Always call before purchasing a coupon and ask any questions you may have. And above all, check availability for your preferred date.
  • Choose offers and services that are easily accessible. Anything that isn't within reach, either by foot or by car, is likely to be forgotten. And no one will refund expired coupons.
  • Show the coupon immediately before taking advantage of an offer, before going to dinner or get a massage and ask on site if there are extras.
  • Mark the coupon expiration date in your calendar: Expired ones are not refunded.
