Ingredients

  • 300 grams of flour
  • 130 grams of sugar
  • 130 g sunflower seed oil
  • 130g of milk (for the vegan version use rice or oat milk)
  • 3 eggs (in the vegan version use 3 ripe bananas)
  • 1 sachet of baking powder

For the filling

  • 250 ml of liquid whipping cream (for the vegan version, use vegetable cream)
  • 500 g of strawberries

Preparation

  • Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and then sprinkle them with a spoonful of sugar from the 130g called for in the recipe.
  • In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar (for a vegan version, mash the bananas and whisk them with the sugar until white and fluffy), then add the milk, oil, flour, and baking powder. Mix well and then bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 25 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool and cut it in half to fill it.
  • Wet the base with the juice of the strawberries which will have formed after adding the sugar and placing the strawberries on the base.
  • Whip the cream and pour half of it over the strawberries. Reassemble the cake and spread the other half of the cream over the surface. Arrange the remaining strawberries in a radial pattern on the cake.
