VALENTINE'S DAY SWEET RECIPE –
Let's not give in to the temptation to buy the beautiful cakes that are displayed in the windows of the pastry shops for Valentine's day: This Valentine's Day, let's make a homemade dessert that's delicious, healthy, and not wasteful. We offer you a recipe that can transform a simple cake into a work of art: it takes very little to give our dishes a beautiful appearance, just follow a few basic tricks of "food styling", or the art of cooking also with the eyes.

VANILLA RICE CAKE RECIPE –
We relied on an expert, Roberta Deiana, and we offer you a recipe taken from his book “FOOD STYLING: Tricks and secrets to create extraordinary dishes every day” (Gribaudo).
Ingredients for 4 people)
- 5 dl of milk
- aged Carnaroli rice
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 vanilla stick
For the red sauce
- 100 g of raspberries
- 3 tablespoons of multi-flower honey
For the green sauce
- 2 ripe kiwis
- 50 g of sugar
Method
- In a saucepan, bring the milk to the boil with the vanilla pod cut lengthwise and sugar.
- Add the rice and cook over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool, then add the egg and mix well.
- Divide the contents into four single-serving molds and bake at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the sauces: heat the honey in a small pan and add the raspberries.
- Let them dissolve for a few minutes over medium heat. Turn off the heat and pass the mixture through a fine sieve. In another small pan, heat the sugar with 4 tablespoons of water and reduce for about 5 minutes over medium heat.
- Add the peeled and chopped kiwis and cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat, blend, and sieve. Prepare the dish: using a teaspoon, Draw a line on one side of the plate with the green sauce, then draw little hearts with a toothpick and the red sauce.
- Sformate the little cakes Arrange one on each plate, near the lines. Garnish with a few drizzles of caramel and a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
