This revolution in the waste disposal chain and in the virtuous reuse of waste, without having to build invasive plants , often rejected by local communities, such as waste -to-energy plants , is called Renescience and was patented by the Danish group Dong Energy , a leading European company in the construction of power plants generated by wind turbines in the North Sea. And we can consider it a true revolution in the name of Non-Waste, as in Italy it could be crucial, for example, in eliminating deadly and polluting landfills and in solving in one fell swoop the problem of waste separation, which is poorly functioning in some areas of the country.

Renescience , in fact, is a method that appears to be much more effective than home recycling for two reasons. First, recycling occurs on an industrial scale, and is therefore more complete. Second, any type of organic waste is reused to create new, truly green electricity . The new plant will be tested for the first time in Northwich , Great Britain, and will consist of several phases. First, all waste, both organic and inorganic, is compressed and placed in large tanks where it is submerged in a solution containing enzymes similar to those used in detergents. The second step involves placing the waste into a machine that "chews" it. In this way, electricity is generated from the organic waste, while the inorganic waste, such as iron and glass, is cleaned and ready for reuse.
