ReHouseit: the startup that transforms earth into furniture

A patented technology for recovering materials that would otherwise be disposed of. Instead, they're transformed into unique design pieces.

It all starts with waste. Lots of it, along the agri-food supply chain. From the earth to steel. And then, with a typical path of The circular economy We arrive at the designer pieces. This is, in a nutshell, the industrial project of the startup ReHouseit.

REHOUSEIT THE STARTUP THAT TRANSFORMS EARTH INTO FURNITURE

The idea of ReHouseit born from two young friends, Nicholas Verardi, the company's director, an engineer with a degree from the Polytechnic University of Milan, and Riccardo Frezzato, an economist with a degree from Teesside University in Middlesbrough. Together, the two young men founded the startup in 2020. ReHouseit in Milan to bring innovation to the field of materials recovery. Earth is the main ingredient that, in collaboration with Saint Gobain (a multinational sustainable construction company), produces an innovative 3D-printed product.

REHOUSEIT TECHNOLOGY

But how exactly does this technology work? ReHouseit uses byproducts (waste materials) from various Italian industrial supply chains. From steel to mining, to agro-industrial waste, such as dusty waste containing a specific mineralogical composition useful for building ReHouseit products. At this point, mortars are created that can be extruded through a Printer 3D to form objects for both exterior and interior design.

Resethouseit

Each medium-to-large site can account for 500 tons of by-products per year. The source of this resource is vast and constantly growing. Recycled materials become new building elements, such as thermal and acoustic insulation, or home furnishings. Because it's recycled, it's a material that can be continually reused.
