OVEN-BAKED CHICKPEA MEATBALLS RECIPE

CHICKPEA MEATBALL RECIPE
Baking also gives the chickpea balls a truly irresistible crunchy crust: All you have to do is gather all the ingredients and prepare them. Here's how to proceed:
Ingredients
(for 12 medium-sized meatballs)
- 200 grams of chickpeas
- 1 boiled potato
- 100g of leftover vegetables
- An egg
- Bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- If you bought loose chickpeas, soak them in water overnight. Drain them and cook them for 40 minutes in boiling salted water, then proceed with the recipe. If you bought canned chickpeas, simply drain them and proceed with the recipe.
- Boil the potato and vegetables (if you don't have any left in the fridge) and, in a bowl, beat the egg with a fork, adding salt and pepper.
- Combine the vegetables and potato until you obtain a thick cream, then transfer the mixture to a blender along with the chickpeas. Blend well.
- With the mixture obtained, form meatballs and then pass them through the bread crumbs.
- Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes. Serve the meatballs piping hot with yogurt or curry cream homemade.
CHICKPEA BURGER RECIPE
And here is another recipe to prepare many delicious chickpea burger with hemp flour and a teaspoon of ginger Freshly grated. A nutritious and healthy recipe enriched with mustard and rosemary:
Ingredients
(for 8 burgers)
- 2 whole medium eggs
- 1 shallot
- 80 g of hemp flour
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 500 grams of chickpeas
- Pepper as needed
- 2 teaspoons of mustard
- clove of garlic
- Rosemary to taste
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Drain the cooked chickpeas well, put them in the blender with the garlic, chopped shallot, mustard, eggs, ginger, rosemary, flour hemp, salt and pepper.
- Blend until you obtain a grainy consistency, then transfer half of the mixture to a bowl. Blend the other half until smooth and creamy. Combine the two mixtures until well combined.
- Make eight chickpea burgers and then cook them in the oven or on a grill, turning them on both sides.
- Serve them with a side of vegetables or enjoy them in a classic hamburger bun. To make the dish even tastier, add a spoonful of vegan mayonnaise.
