In Capanne prison, Perugia, the inmates take care of a 12 hectare large vegetable garden with vegetables and fruit treesAn extraordinary project, in the challenging context of prison, marked by overcrowding and the sometimes inhumane conditions in which prisoners live. The garden helps them fill their days, build community, feel useful, and even provides a glimpse into their futures once they leave prison.
