Plastiz: How plastic waste becomes designer furniture

Tables, furniture, and panels of various sizes. Recycling reduces waste and the generation of highly polluting materials.

2023 scaled PANELS

Plastiz is a startup founded in Turin by Gian Luca Beruto, Alessandro Grella, Paolo Martino, Andrea Sirianni, Giuseppe Vinci, Pasquale Onofrio, and Marco Corcione, with the aim of addressing the environmental emergency caused by plastic waste. The company recovers and recycles plastic scraps, transforming them into high-quality semi-finished products such as panels and compact bars. These products not only meet rigorous aesthetic and durability standards, but are also made entirely from recycled materials, promoting the circular economy.

Panels of different sizes

Plastiz uses advanced technologies to process plastic waste, ensuring each product is manufactured with precision and attention to detail. The panels and rods produced by Plastiz are used in various sectors, from interior design to construction, offering sustainable and innovative solutions.

Plastiz was born from Izamade, a social enterprise, a design and architecture studio that designs and creates furniture and installations combining innovation, sustainability, and design. This company also collaborates with Precious Plastic, A global community for research and sharing on plastic recycling and the use of energy from renewable sources. The recycling achieved in Plastiz's production chain has two important anti-waste benefits. First, it reduces disposal and plastic waste. Second, nothing is wasted, and all the leftover material is recycled.
