The story of Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi, two disabled friends, and their fight to save the planet.

TREE PLANTING –

In China, in the city of Sunzhuang, Jingxing County, where years ago there were only rocks and weeds, today there are many trees and lots of greenery. A transformation that came about thanks to the hard but constant work of Jia Haixia and Jia Wenqi, two friends whose disabilities, the first is blind and the second without arms due to a double amputation following a road accident, have not prevented them from dedicating their time to protecting the area in which they live.

THE STORY OF JIA HAIXIA AND JIA WENQI –

Due to financial constraints, they can't afford to buy trees in stores, so they grow them from cuttings of existing trees. Every day, promptly at 7 a.m., they begin their workday, side by side. While Haixia climbs the trees to cut the branches needed to start the new crops, Wenqi water the plants present in the soil.

A constant work that, in just over 10 years, has allowed the two friends to plant 10 thousand trees.An important choice to protect and preserve the natural environment in such a polluted area as the China and leave a better world to new generations.

The two friends have received widespread outpouring of support since news of their remarkable efforts spread: as reported by some local newspapers, some have chosen to donate money to them to enable them to receive a good pension, and some doctors, after confirming that Haixia could regain the sight in one eye, have announced that they are willing to operate on him free of charge.
