He doesn't seek publicity, we know nothing about his life, except his name, Pasquale, yet this very active pensioner has become a star on the beaches of Salento, thanks to a photo taken by Antonio Pellico and gone viral across the internet.
Every day, at the crack of dawn, Pasquale looks out onto the beach at Porticciolo di Torre di Vado, where everyone knows him by now, and draws a heart, one for each day of the year. Inside, he places his loving dedication, apparently addressed to his daughter, who is hospitalized for a delicate eye operation. In this way, the Salento beach has become a giant canvas, frescoed with Pasquale's drawings.
