These include routine maintenance (and in fact, all parking spaces are clearly visible), waste disposal, gardening , and cleaning of stairwells and shared spaces. In some cases, contracts for heating systems are even being renegotiated. In exchange for self-management, tenants of Milan's municipal housing receive a discount on condominium fees . But most importantly, they live in better-maintained and managed homes.
