ATZARA NATURAL DYEING
It was one of the oldest and most tested artisan traditions of Sardinia: the dyeing work with natural colours for wool and silk. Then this goldmine of knowledge faded away, partly because, as usual, the connection with the area's history was broken, and even the memory of the activities that once provided jobs and wealth was lost.

And instead Maurizio Savoldo, 46 years old, managed to work the miracle, with the "La Robbia" laboratory in Atzara, in the province of NuoroThe catalog is simply extraordinary, and It allows you to dye fabrics and yarns with 26 shades of colors and 200 hues. Some are indigenous, others imported, but all are natural. And without any added chemicals..
After graduating in Natural Sciences, Savoldo traveled extensively, visiting companies that still use these ancient techniques. Then, once he mastered the mechanism, he decided to open his own laboratory.
THE COURAGE OF MAURIZIO SAVOLDO
His hard work and courage have paid off so far. So much so that, thanks to an increase in customers (requests now also come from abroad), Maurizio has been able to expand his catalog beyond just dyeing. So today he also sells hats, scarves, bags, Accessories: always and only with natural colors and yarns.
