Michel Marchi, mayor of the municipality of Gerre de' Caprioli, a small town in the province of Cremona, deserves an award. With a simple gesture, he managed to demonstrate two things: how widespread theincivility di abandon very bulky waste on the street e very polluting, and as a good administrator can also be personally present on the front of the correct disposal of waste.
WASTE FINES
Marchi filmed a post on his Facebook page, recounting his story. The owner of a refrigerator abandoned on a street near the landfill was located thanks to CCTV, and his refrigerator will now be returned to him. He was also issued a hefty fine. The fine was increased by the fact that the person responsible for the act was from another municipality and therefore does not reside in Gerre de' Caprioli.

FINES FOR WASTE ABANDONED ON THE STREET
It is not a given that all mayors should become sheriffs, but a form of surveillance on the territory, in the neighborhoods, in the streets, to combat the phenomenon of waste thrown in the streets (we have reported it in this article) must be exercised in any case. Also because the path we have to take to reach a decent level of civics It's still a long way off. And an enterprising public administrator can help us shorten it.
