Potholes are the cause of one in three accidents. And no one fixes them.

ROAD HOLE MAINTENANCE

One of the dreams of this site is to see at work mayors, throughout Italy, who are engaged in the first mission of their mandate: to fix the potholes. Instead we have first citizens who have become great experts in organizing events, others since the first day of their mandate they think of nothing else but their political career, and others still specializing in major construction announcements. Very few handle routine maintenance, starting with potholes.

MAINTENANCE OF ROAD POTHOTS

The result is that we have Gruyere-roads, and not only in urban areas, and one in three accidents is caused by potholes. Not only that. The road maintenance continues to decrease every year and, on average, only the 50 percent of the necessary interventionsWe have thus returned to the spending levels of thirty years ago, when the kilometers of paved roads were much fewer, and the consumption of new asphalt for repairs continued to decline.

La technology is making progress, even significant ones. There are machines, called Stop Holes who can also provide live interventions, without redoing the road surfaceBut politics continues to take steps backwards, convinced that the maintenance you don't bring votes. Yet it is the first thing that interests citizens.
