Every morning Roberta and Teresa check the messages and requests that arrive on the association's Facebook page. The Poor Man's Wardrobe, then they get in the car and dedicate themselves to Pickups and deliveries in the Monza and Brianza area. Roberta Campani and Teresa Amelio They managed to create a volunteer association that helps over 300 people in Monza and Brianza who are unable to shop regularly.
Food parcels, baby products, warm clothing, blankets, basic necessities, medical supplies, even furniture, as Roberta explains: "It's not just the strictly poor, but also families whose husbands are on unemployment benefits and who need plates and glasses because their children have broken them; sick people who can't get out of bed and need extra bolsters beyond those assigned by the local health authority; disabled people who eat in bed or on a chair and need a small table."
The Wardrobe for the Poor, which over the years has managed to build a network of over 6,000 donors, is located in Monza at Via Santa Lucia 14/A. Donations can be dropped off Mondays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM; and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
