As a writer and a philosopher, as a man who loved theater and music as well as social life, Johann Wolfgang Goethe was obsessed throughout his life with the absolute value of kindness . He spoke of it often, with very clear images and stories, and with strong, very strong thoughts. Like this one: " Kindness is the strong chain that binds human beings together ."
