Each of us uses, on average, 198 plastic bags a year, almost two a day. And where do they end up? When they're not disposed of properly, we find them on the streets, sidewalks, flowerbeds, the sea, and beaches. Compulsive consumption and enormous waste (and often, like at the supermarket, we pay for them). It wouldn't take much to prevent this.
