Elisa, the "tree-planting singer": in 2019, her Diari Aperti tour planted 2000 trees.

Over two thousand trees were planted during the 19 dates of her tour, a cause for which the Trieste-born artist has always been a vocal advocate. No publicity stunts: her London studios are solar-powered, and the album packaging is plastic-free.

ELISA'S TREE-PLANTING TOUR

Elisa, born in Trieste, real name Elisa Toffoli, has a successful twenty-year career. During her "Diari Aperti Tour" last year, she performed on numerous stages in Italy and Europe, purchasing 2 trees to "give back to the forests what we are taking away," as she confessed in numerous interviews explaining her project. In November 2019 The Friulian singer announced her intention to support the fight for reforestation on social media some time ago: all her fans were able to contribute to the project, joining Elisa in donating on the Treedom platform, as well as following its growth remotely. All the trees adopted during the tour, which began in Florence and ended in Rome, were planted by farmers native to the chosen trees' habitats, thus helping to strengthen local economies and sending a comprehensive message of sustainability.

The inspiration, Elisa explained in an interview with the Leggo portal, came from the young Greta Thunberg and her Fridays For Future group, from the need to actively engage for the world, because, as written on many signs at climate mobilizations across Europe, "there is no planet B."

And so Elisa, a rock soul, stubborn and determined as Gino Paoli described her, a mother of two children to whom she hopes to leave a better planet, didn't hold back: "I decided to bring this theme to my concerts with a concrete environmental project. On the Treedom platform, we bought 2.000 trees, the trees of Diari aperti. As a family," she continues, "we talked a lot about Greta and the importance of taking action against global warming."

For this reason, he embraced the cause with great enthusiasm, even dedicating special time to this project during his live shows, between one song on the setlist and another.

On the other hand, for Elisa this battle is not a publicity stunt: its new London studios, in fact, use exclusively renewable energy supplied by special solar panels installed on the roof, and the EP Secret Diaries, connected to the tour, finally, was packaged in plastic-free and eco-friendly packaging.

Baobabs, mangoes, bananas, and other exotic fruit trees from around the world can be planted remotely, just a click away: the Treedom platform also allows you to give them as gifts, a unique and different gift for Christmas.

Humane gifts not only for the planet, but also for the local farming communities involved: Treedom finances small agroforestry projects across the country. The philosophy is to create sustainable ecosystems and enable thousands of farmers to cover the initial costs of planting new trees, ensuring long-term food sovereignty and income opportunities.
