Homemade PVA glue made with water, vinegar, and cornstarch

A very simple process to save money and have a natural, non-toxic product. The only drawback: it doesn't last more than a week.

How to make PVA glue at home

La wine glue It is a natural glue of animal origin (collagen-based) used in carpentry, but also in a number of household projects. It can be easily prepared at home, and only two ingredients are needed, apart from water:vinegar of white wine and corn starch.

Necessary

  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 spoon of white wine vinegar
  • Half a glass of cornstarch

Preparation

  • Take two bowlsIn one bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of water with 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. In the other, mix the remaining water with the half cup of starch.
  • While mixing water and starch Remember not to rush: you should obtain a smooth, homogeneous semi-liquid mixture.
  • Place water and vinegar in a saucepan and heat. Stirring, slowly add the water and starch mixture.
  • Bring to a boil and remove from heat.Let it cool and then store everything in airtight glass jars in the refrigerator.
  • The glue will keep for about a week: prepare it in small quantities.
