HOW TO APPLY SUNSCREEN
Sunscreen is essential for protecting yourself from the sun, preventing sunburn, preventing rapid and rapid aging of the skin, and achieving a solid and even tan . But how do you apply sunscreen? When should you use it? And how much? An important guide to answering these questions comes from the handbook prepared by the American Academy of Dermatology , supplemented by recommendations from other experts.
- The cream used must not be expired (in this case it can be reused in other way) and must have the characteristics of a broad-spectrum product
- The minimum protection level is above 30, but especially in the hottest periods it is advisable to go up to 50 and even 70. In particular, when you have fair skin
- An adult needs about 30 milliliters (two tablespoons' worth) of sunscreen.
- The sunscreen container should be shaken before use.
- Sunscreen should be spread delicately over the entire body and especially on the face.
- It is best to apply it at least 15-20 minutes before going out in the sun.
- If you combine sunscreen with an insect repellent, 20-30 minutes must pass between the two applications (the sunscreen must be applied first) and the skin must be thoroughly dry.
- After swimming in the water, and every two or three hours, you can do a little touch-up on sunscreen.

HOW TO CHOOSE SUNSCREEN
When choosing a good sunscreen, it's best not to try to save money by opting for unknown and unreliable brands, which can actually damage your skin instead of protecting you from the risk of sunburn . The product should be non-toxic, non-sensitizing, and resistant to water and sweat . Furthermore, the packaging should be easy to apply and pleasant to the touch. The cream should protect against all ultraviolet radiation: UVB, short UVA, and long UVA.
OTHER SUN PROTECTION
Sunscreen alone isn't enough. There are other essential precautions to take. The first is definitely wearing a hat to protect your head and hair. The second, which is especially important for people with fair or sensitive skin, is to cover up with a long-sleeved shirt made of natural fibers (cotton or linen).
