There's a game on Amsterdam's trams to avoid using your smartphone.

Small stickers stuck to the windows to "capture" passersby and enjoy the view outside. Without fiddling with your phone.

AMSTERDAM TRAIN GAME –

On the trams of Amsterdam there's a funny idea which invites passengers to take their eyes off their smartphones and not to stay with your head bowed over your cell phone during the whole trip. It's not a digital video game, but a interactive analog game installed directly inside the trams which aims to make it more interesting to look outside instead of looking at your cell phone.

The “tram game” is called GVBeestje: these are small ones stickers, with a creature (in Dutch “beestje”, that is small animal) which has a big mouth and eyes that look out the windowStickers are glued on the windows of trams and There are instructions for playing in front of the seats.

GAME TO USE YOUR PHONE LESS

Anyone who wants can play by trying to "capture" the passers-by they see outside the window. There's no need to use a smartphone: everything is done with the head and eyes.

The game lasts up to two stops or for the entire journey, depending on how much the passenger wants to play.
