FURNITURE MADE WITH RECYCLED MATERIALS
Furnishings which are born thanks to the reuse of fabrics and Wood of waste, expertly shaped and assembled by people with social problems, who are helped in their integration in the world of work. This is the mission of Akrat Recycling, a social cooperative based in Bolzano that has launched a new line of furniture called Akrat Officine. And these are true works of art born from a noble philosophy: improving the level of training offered to employees, who often start from disadvantaged situations. A project that the cooperative wants to support with the sale of furniture or sustainable textile products but also through a campaign through crowdfunding.

AKRAT OFFICINE
The organizers' stated goal is to “introduce a product line to ensure better organization and training of our collaborators, to whom we want to give the opportunity to easily integrate into our company." To achieve this, they give them the opportunity to create designer products and unique pieces characterized by different shapes and colors, all obtained from the recycling of obsolete wooden objects and fabrics. The furniture line is distinguished by its geometric mottos, and is embellished with the inlay technique, which is used to create shelves, tables, and sideboards. This technique is also used with fabric scraps to create cushions, bedspreads, blankets, and much more.
RECYCLING WOODEN OBJECTS
Before starting production, the project promoters spent a lot of time to study and understand How to exploit recyclable materials. The goal was to create a new product line, characterized by functionality, quality, and design. At the same time, however, the production process had to be explained simply and understandable. So after a few months of planning, the new line was born, which responds to a real protocol. Akrat Officine's ambition, however, is to grow further, for this reason the money raised through the crowdfunding campaign will be invested in purchasing some machinery to simplify and improve the production process.
