From nuclear to solar . Thanks to an Italian company specializing in the construction of renewable energy plants. In the memory of the entire world, Fukushima evokes one of the worst environmental disasters in human history.
FUKUSHIMA FOCUSES ON SOLAR ENERGY
On March 11, 2011, a terrible 8,9-magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Japan. Then came the tsunami, which overwhelmed the reactors of the Fukushima nuclear power plant. A disaster. 15.900 people died and nearly half a million people were displaced. Since then, Japan has considered reducing the share of its nuclear energy production , but the decommissioning of the Fukushima plant is proceeding at a snail's pace. Meanwhile, however, the local prefecture has set a new goal: to achieve 100% renewable energy production as soon as possible. Starting with solar.

INFRASTRUTTURE SPA ITALIAN COMPANY
And here comes Infrastrutture SpA , an Italian company founded in 1994 by Pier Francesco Rimbotti , which won the contract to build a solar plant on an 8-hectare site with 9.760 solar panels in the Litate area of Fukushima Prefecture. The paradoxical thing about this story is that Rimbotti's company cleans the air in Japan and is a market leader in solar energy systems in South America, but is struggling to build similar projects in Italy. Even a simple balcony photovoltaic system is difficult to install.
